Read the following passage and answer the questions:
Our body is made up of 60% water and we lose the essential fluid every minute of a day as we breathe, digest and work up a sweat. It is important that we put back every drop. So, drink eight 230 ml glasses of water everyday – that’s the minimum amount of water our body needs daily. Many times when we think we are hungry, sleepy, depressed or irritated, we are actually just dehydrated. Drinking enough water helps us fight water retention. If we remain in a semi dehydrated state all the time, our health deteriorates. When we are properly hydrated or having a proportionate amount of water, all systems of our body operate properly. Water flushes out our system and releases excess fluids. If our goal is to lose weight, water is a must. When we are dehydrated our body sends signals, but many of us mistake those thirsty signals for hunger and take in hundreds of calories. Drinking water can be a powerful appetite suppressant. Our body needs plenty of water for digestion also. We don’t feel hungry when our stomach is full. So drink two glasses of water after every meal. We will eat less! Our body uses water for fat.
How do we lose water from our body?
